Ace celebrates his first birthday Aug. 30

Hundreds of screaming University of Louisiana at Monroe fans welcomed their new champion, Ace the Warhawk, during a special pep rally in Fant-Ewing Coliseum on Aug. 30, 2006.

In celebration of Ace’s overwhelmingly successful first year, ULM’s Warhawk mascot invites everyone to help him celebrate his first birthday during Ace’s Birthday Bash, Aug. 30, 2007 at 5 p.m. in the Grove. The community will enjoy birthday cake and party favors at the Birthday Bash, which is sponsored by The News-Star and Brookshire’s.

The community is encouraged to stay for the nationally-televised ULM Home Season Opener as ULM takes on Tulsa at 6 p.m. in Malone Stadium. The Kids Zone opens at 4:30 p.m. in the Grove.

All ULM students, faculty and staff are encouraged to attend Ace’s special Birthday Reception at noon in the Student Union Building. Birthday cake and party favors will be available for all.
