ULM's Division of University Advancement wins three awards
The University of Louisiana at Monroe Division of University Advancement received prestigious awards at the Council for Advancement And Support of Education Southwest District IV annual conference in Dallas March 31 – April 4.
ULM staff members competed with professionals from universities in Louisiana, Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Mexico and New Mexico.
Alum Richard Lupo (B.A. '87), who has worked as ULM's university photographer since 1994, was awarded a "silver" for his "Mystical Arts Of Tibet" photo in the color photography category.
ULM Division of University Advancement and External Affairs was awarded a "bronze" for the "75 Years of Giving" philanthropy report. Greg Nelson, director of annual giving at ULM since 2003, accepted the award on behalf of University Advancement. Christi Bailey, director of Graphic Services, designed the publication.
University Advancement was also awarded a "silver" for "Excellence on the Bayou," the call-center operated by Nelson. This fundraising program was recognized in the best low-cost program category.
Don Skelton is the vice president for University Advancement and External Affairs.
