ULM United Way campaign begins Oct. 3
ULM’s 2006 United Way campaign will kick-off on Tuesday, Oct. 3, and will end Oct. 30.
The United Way committee members hope to have a 51 percent participation rate from ULM employees. Last year, ULM had a 42 percent participation rate and ULM employees raised $45,000.
Committee members include Robin Logan, chair, Paula Thornhill, co-chair, Eric Pani, Vanessa Doherty, Annette Tangye, Richard Hood, Richard Seiler, Trevor Melder, Melissa Melancon, Yolanda Dupre, Juliet Burgess and Edwin Adams.
The dollars raised through the ULM United Way Campaign will benefit local agencies in 2007. Those agencies include the American Red Cross, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, Med-Camps, Ouachita Council on Aging, and the Salvation Army. The Northeast Co-Op Day Care Center, located on ULM’s campus, also receives assistance from United Way.
