Child development center director one of six chosen to review national textbook
Emily Williamson, director of ULM’s Child Development Center in the family and consumer sciences department, served as one of six reviewers nationwide for the National Safety Council Pediatric First Aid, CPR, and AED new Second Edition textbook.
As Williamson teaches the subjects in question, she was asked to review the new text and guidelines for CPR and first aid. The new national guidelines apply to providers that conduct certification and training in those areas; namely, the American Heart Association, the National Safety Council and the American Red Cross.
Over 10,000 texts are sold each year to individuals taking the pediatric course.
