ULM celebrates National Non-Traditional Student Week from Nov. 6 - 10
The University of Louisiana at Monroe is proud to announce the second annual celebration of non-traditional students in higher education Nov. 6 – 10.
National Non-Traditional Student Week is held the first full week of November each year. The Commuter and Non-Traditional (CNT) Student Affairs Office has events planned to recognize the non-traditional students on campus as well as improve the adult student environment.
Included in the schedule are:
- There will be a NTSO Kick-Off Social Monday, Nov. 6 from 4 – 6 p.m. at the ULM Library, 7th floor. Spouses and family members are welcome to share in the food, fun and fellowship of the non-traditional students.
- Commuter Coffee Break occurs Tuesday, Nov. 7 from 8 – 10 a.m. at the Administration Building, room 2-72 (the Student Lounge). Stop by for a free cup of coffee, hot chocolate and a breakfast bar.
- An Introduction to Personal Computing for Non-Trads will take place Tuesday Nov. 7 from 3 – 5 p.m. at the Airway Science Building (AIRW 201). RSVP to ddameron@ulm.edu by noon, Nov. 7.
- The latest Children's Adventure Time will be offered Tuesday, Nov. 7, from 3:30 – 5 p.m. at the ULM Library, rooms 3A and 3E. RSVP to ddameron@ulm.edu by noon, Nov. 7.
- A CNT Student Brown Bag Lunch will be on Wednesday, Nov. 8 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Administration Building, room 2-72. This event includes a free brown bag lunch for commuters and non-traditional students! RSVP to ddameron@ulm.edu by noon, Nov. 7.
- Planning For Your Future - FPL Asset Management will occur Wednesday, Nov. 8 from 6:30 - 8 p.m. at the Administration Building, room 3-91. Discuss your financial future and how to save for retirement.
- The CNT Student Breakfast will be on Thursday, Nov. 9 from 8 – 10 a.m. at the Administration Building, room 2-72. The breakfast is free for commuters and non-traditional students. RSVP to ddameron@ulm.edu by noon, Nov. 8.
- The NTSO Monthly Meeting is planned for Thursday, Nov. 9 from 4 – 5 p.m. in the Administration Building, room 3-62.
