College of Pharmacy students receive high honors
Three students in the University of Louisiana at Monroe’s College of Pharmacy recently proved themselves capable of tremendous responsibility and achievement.
Jessica Staples Schutz, a fourth-year student from Jonesboro, received a travel award to attend the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) Annual Meeting in St. Louis, Mo. Oct. 24-29. She was also appointed to the ACCP Student Network Advisory Panel, a national student committee charged with advising ACCP on its interactions with student members.
“My attendance at the ACCP meeting was an experience of a lifetime,” said Schutz. “I am so blessed to have been given the opportunity to attend. It enabled me to network and meet many clinical pharmacists from around the country in every clinical realm. I was able to learn more about areas of clinical pharmacy that I didn't know much about. It also gave me the opportunity to speak with Residency Directors and Residents from many different programs that are of interest to me.”
