Students receive ADDY awards at special competition
At the recent Northeast Louisiana Advertising Club luncheon at ULM, several talented students received their ADDY awards and entrance into the American Advertising Federation (AAF) national competition in January 2007.
The awards presented at the luncheon resulted from a special student competition held to recognize university students who are attending during ULM's spring semester. The regular ADDY competition occurs only once a year.
ADDY awards are considered very prestigious accomplishments. As stated on the AAF website, "The ADDY Awards represent the true spirit of creative excellence by recognizing all forms of advertising from media of all types."
The following are winners of this special competition:
Gold ADDY awards and ad titles: Kalee Cooksey, "Vintage Attic"; Tiffany Gray, "Nike Senior"; Tiffany Gray, "Dell Mouse"; and Nicole Shows, "Fuji film."
Silver ADDY awards and ad titles: Nicole Shows, "Sure Fresh Mints" and Chad Evans, "E-Lite."
The Best of Show award went to Tiffany Gray with "Nike Senior."
A total of 19 ads were entered into this student competition. The Ad Club of Northeast Louisiana presented the awards, and the judges were professional individuals from local advertising agencies.
