KEDM news director wins award

The Louisiana Federation of Teachers has honored KEDM News Director Sunny Meriwether with its School Bell Award for Excellence in Education Journalism.

The award was given at LFT’s annual convention Nov. 20 in Kenner.

The School Bell Award recognizes “outstanding contribution in helping to better public understanding of education and the teaching profession.” Meriwether has won the award four times.

KEDM 90.3 FM is the public radio station housed at ULM.
