Nursing School Appointments Announced
The ULM School of Nursing is
proud to announce its new administrative appointments. Florencetta
Gibson will fill the position of Director of the ULM School of
Nursing. Anita Mitchell will become Associate Director of the
School of Nursing and Linda Reid will accept appointment as the
Coordinator of Non-Traditional Programs.
Florencetta Gibson has taught at ULM since 1986. She received
her BSN and MD in counseling from ULM. She received her MSN from
the University of Mississippi and also has a Ph.D. from ULM in
Marriage and Family Therapy. She is an Advanced Practice Registered
Nurse and a licensed marriage and family therapist. She is a
member of the Graduate Faculty and has held the Glenwood Regional
Medical Center and St. Francis Medical Center Nursing Endowed
Professorships.
Anita Mitchell has taught at ULM since 1987 and has been in the
Pediatric Nursing Facility as an Assistant Professor since that
time. She has a ULM endowed Professorship in Nursing and a Ph.D.
in nursing from the University of Mississippi in Jackson.
Linda Reid has been with ULM for seven years. She received her
BSN from the University of Louisiana in Lafayette and her MSN
from Northwestern University. She previously has held the position
of Interim Director of the ULM School of Nursing.
