Second Annual ULM Event Coincides with New Pharmacy Building Ribbon Cutting
Envision ULM 2005: The University of Louisiana at Monroe will host the second annual Envision event on Thursday, September 8 at 6 p.m. Earlier that day, at 11 a.m., ULM officials will cut the ribbon on the new pharmacy building located on Bienville Street in Monroe.
Envision ULM 2005, a celebration of all things ULM, will be at the Monroe Civic Center beginning at 6 p.m. with a reception and dinner at 6:30.
This community event is the official kick-off of the 75th anniversary celebration of the university, which will occur in 2006. The program features several speakers including ULM President Dr. James E. Cofer, Sr., Athletic Director Bobby Staub, President of the ULM Alumni Association Don Weems, as well as students and alumni.
Once again this year, the Hall of Distinction Award will be presented to an alumnus, friend or supporter of the university. The Golden Arrow Award and the Slim Scogin Award recipients will also be recognized. Sponsors of the event include the ULM Foundation, the Monroe Chamber of Commerce and the West Monroe-West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce.
All ULM supporters, family and friends are welcome. Tickets are $30 per person and $240 per table of 8 (includes a meal and wine). Seating is limited to 900 people. Dress is cocktail attire.

New Pharmacy Building Ribbon Cutting: Join ULM officials, Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco, and local, state and regional officials, as they celebrate the newly acquired pharmacy building on Bienville St. in Monroe. The event takes place at 11 a.m. on the front lawn of the new pharmacy building on Bienville St. in Monroe.
