ULM and Delta Community College Welcome Your Business
The University of Louisiana at Monroe and Delta Community
College are encouraging local businesses to work with them.
A free workshop detailing how to work with both institutions
is set for Thursday, May 12 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the
university conference center on the 7th floor of the ULM Library.
Lunch will be provided.
According to Dr. Nick Bruno, Vice President for Business Affairs
at ULM, the reason many businesses do not have the opportunity
to work with the universities is that they do not do what is
necessary to win their business.
Representatives from the purchasing departments of both schools
will explain the process of doing business with the two institutions.
The workshop will include who to contact and what a business
must do to be ready to work with ULM and Delta. Bruno and Cecil
Willis, Director of Purchasing at ULM, will represent the university
and Glen Roscoe, CFO and Business Manager at Delta, and Cherry
Canady, Director of Purchasing, will represent the Community
College.
The luncheon is sponsored by the Consortium for Education, Research
and Technology (CERT) and the North Louisiana Partnership for
Innovation (NLPI). The public is invited to attend. There is
no charge, but please RSVP by calling 342-5440. Attendance is
limited to 75 people.
