Careers in Aging Week

The Institute of Gerontology at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, in coordination with the Gerontological Society of America and the Association for Gerontology in Higher Education, are proud to present the 4th annual "Careers in Aging Week". This event will take place the week of April 11-15.

The purpose of this week is to introduce to a broad audience the wide-ranging career opportunities that exist in aging and aging research. Promotion of the ULM Institute of Gerontology and the Gerontology Program as the premier educational institution for supporting career development in the field of gerontology in Louisiana is another aim of this event.

The Institute of Gerontology, the Gerontology Students Association and Sigma Phi Omega will host two events during the week. At 6 p.m. on April 12 in Stubbs Hall, Room 100, there will be a public panel discussion with professionals who are currently working in the field of aging. On April 13, near the ULM Library, gerontology faculty and students will be available to answer questions about the various career options available in gerontology.
