The School of Visual and Performing Arts and the Faculty Artist Concert Series will present "Street Scene", an opera by Kurt Weill, March 25-27 in Spyker Theatre. All performances will begin at 7:30 p.m.
This opera will feature vocal faculty members Louis Nabors and Kristen Oden as well as numerous ULM music and theatre students. Many other actors and singers from the Monroe/West Monroe community help to make up the 50-member cast.
Crew members are Richard Novak, director; James A. Goodman, music director; Matthew Witherow, accompanist; Jeremy Reynolds, set design; and Jerri White, costume design.
In addition to the three performances, there are two open dress rehearsals scheduled for Monday, March 22nd and Tuesday, March 23rd at 6 p.m. These are open to the public at no charge, but a ticket is needed for admission due to limited seating in Spyker Theatre. Tickets for the three regular performances are $10 each.
Tickets are on sale in the School of Visual and Performing Arts office in Biedenharn Hall, room 105. Call the office at 342-3811 for ticket and seating information.
