ULM President to Co-host Delta Regional Conference in Little Rock
University of Louisiana at Monroe President James Cofer will team up with President Les Wyatt of Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Little Rock City Mayor Jim Dailey and the Honorable Rodney E. Slater, former Secretary of Transportation in the Clinton Administration, to host the Mississippi Delta Regional Issues Fall Conference. The conference, which will be held on Friday, Oct. 3, at the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock will be to discuss critical issues of the region.
The conference will begin at 9 a.m. and continue until 4 p.m. with a group of distinguished panelists addressing economic development, health care, education, and agriculture issues. The panelists will include speakers from throughout the region representing universities, nonprofit organizations, private business, grassroots community organizations and other major institutions.
From noon until 12:30 p.m., panelists and speakers will be
available for media questions and comments.
