Wind Ensemble Concert
The University of Louisiana at Monroe will present a concert
featuring the ULM Wind Ensemble on Tuesday, November 18th at
7:30 p.m. in the Emy-Lou Biedenharn recital hall. Derle R. Long
is the principal conductor for the Wind Ensemble.
The show will consist of two main themes throughout the program.
The first half of the show is dedicated to show patriotism and
give honor to the men and women of the armed forces. The second
half will feature children and children's songs.
The programming for this concert is completed with the first
movement of Paul Creston's Concertino for Marimba featuring marimba
soloist Melissa Wilson, a senior music history major, and Incantation
and Dance by John Barnes Chance. Guest conductors for this concert
include Dr. Michael Spears, band director at West Monroe High
School.
The concert is open to the public and there is no admission charge. For more information, contact the ULM Band Office at 342-1593.
