ULM Represented in Regional Art Competition
The Division of Art in the School of Visual and Performing Arts at the University of Louisiana at Monroe is represented in a regional are competition by a ULM faculty member.
Robert G. Ward, professor in painting and drawing, had two paintings accepted in competition at the 37th Tom Peyton Memorial Arts Festival in Alexandria. These works, an acrylic on canvas non-objective titled "Old New Borrowed Blue" and an acrylic on canvas landscape titled "Landwich" are being displayed at the festival through May 11.
Regional artists were eligible to submit in competition up to three recent works in the traditional fine arts categories. Entries were jurored by Preston Gilchrist, artistic director of the River Oaks Square Arts Center in Alexandria, who curated the ehhibition.
