16TH Annual Research Update to be Held at ULM
The Department of Communicative Disorders at the University of Louisiana at Monroe is sponsoring the 16th annual Research Update on Friday, February 21, in the Nursing Building Auditorium. The featured speaker is Nancy B. Swigert, a past President of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She will be speaking from 8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m. on "Tips, Techniques and Tools for Managing Dysphagia in Children."
Beginning at 3:15 p.m., graduate students in communicative disorders from ULM, LSU Health Sciences Center and Southeastern Louisiana University will present original research on a variety of topics including Asperger's Syndrome and autism, aphasia treatment, unilateral hearing loss, literacy strategies and dyslexia/phonemic awareness.
