Kappa Delta Sorority Hosts 20th Annual Shamrock Event for the Prevention of Child Abuse
The members of the Delta Zeta Chapter of Kappa Delta Sorority are proud to host their 20th Annual Shamrock Event for the Prevention of Child Abuse. Prevent Child Abuse Louisiana has been selected as the local beneficiary of a Shamrock fund-raising effort in Monroe to be held March 14.
The Delta Zeta chapter of Kappa Delta at the University of Louisiana at Monroe will host a four-man scramble golf tournament on Friday, March 14 at Calvert Crossing Golf Club in Calhoun, La. The tournament will begin at 8 a.m. with registration beginning at 7 a.m. Entry fee is $100 per person and is non-refundable. Sponsorships are also available for $100, $250 and $500. A $250 sponsorship receives two people entered into the tournament and a $500 sponsorship receives four people entered into the tournament. Entry fee includes cart fees, green fees, a goodie bag and lunch.
Eighty percent of the funds collected will remain in Monroe
child abuse prevention programs. The remaining 20 percent will
go to PCAA for nationwide public awareness programs.
Founded in 1897, Kappa Delta Sorority began supporting PCAA in
1981, and began the annual nationwide Shamrock Event in 1983.
More than $5 million has been raised through the Shamrock Event
to benefit child abuse prevention efforts across the country.
