ULM Fraternity Receives Naional Honor
The University of Louisiana at Monroe chapter of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity Inc. was awarded its chapter designation at the organization's national meeting in Chicago. The chapter will be known as the Epsilon Gamma chapter of Iota Phi Theta. The
chapter was established at ULM in January 2000. The honor reflects the work that the local chapter has done in the areas of community service, campus involvement and the uplift of the organization principles.
Iota Phi Theta, the fifth historically African-American fraternity in the nation, was founded September 19, 1963 at Morgan State University in Baltimore Maryland. Iota Phi Theta is committed to working toward the development and perpetuation of
scholarship, leadership citizenship, fidelity and brotherhood among men.
