ULM President to Give State of the University Address
On Monday, the University of Louisiana at Monroe president, James Cofer, will deliver his Annual State of the University address. Cofer will deliver it twice on Monday. The first one will be at a luncheon that will be held from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Monroe Civic Center Convention Center in the Fort Miro Room. For reservations contact Workforce Development Director Peggy Goodman at 807-4021. The Monroe Chamber of Commerce and the West Monroe Chamber of Commerce are hosting the event.
The second address will be made at 3:30 p.m. later that day in Brown Auditorium- it is open to all faculty, staff, students, and anyone who would like to come. Dr. Cofer will discuss the major accomplishments of the university community over the past year as well as what's in store for the future at ULM. The address for ULM will be in the afternoon because many of our professors have more classes in the morning than in the afternoon.
The President's speech was originally scheduled for Tuesday, but has been rescheduled for Monday because of his integral role in the University of Louisiana System's appearance before the House Appropriations Committee in Baton Rouge. The System's appearance before the committee was originally scheduled for Monday but was moved to Tuesday.
