ULM Homecoming 2002 "A New Era on the Bayou"

Homecoming Week at the University of Louisiana at Monroe is scheduled for Monday, October 21 through Saturday, October 26, 2002. There are many activities and opportunities for everyone to have a chance to get involved and show their school spirit. This year's theme is "A New Era on the Bayou".

The full week of activities is a prelude to the big event on Saturday when the ULM Indians take on the Utah State Aggies at 6:00 p.m. in Malone Stadium.

Several ULM organizations will host a variety of activities during Homecoming Week. Some events include Homecoming Photo buttons on Monday in the Quad; Henna Body Art Tattoos and Tuesday night live on Tuesday; the 18th Annual University Mile on Wednesday; Alumni Awards Dinner and the "Miss"ter Utah State Pageant on Thursday; and the Golf Tournament at Frenchman's Bend, Homecoming Parade, and Tennis tournament on Friday.

Saturday promises to be just as busy as more activities thrive on campus and tailgating along with Grovin' in the Grove begins. Many campus organizations have already signed up for tailgating activities they include the School of Construction Student Guild, School of Nursing, School of Pharmacy, Geology & Geosciences, Phi Mu, College of Business Administration, the Sound of Today, ULM Swimming, and the Institute of Gerontology, just to name a few.

The Campus Activities Board is sponsoring a Spirit Board Decorating Contest for Homecoming. Spirit Boards made by participating ULM student organizations should be in place and ready for viewing by 9:00 a.m. Monday, October 21, in the SUB Quad. A winner will be selected.
