Survival Kits Help Students Through Finals At ULM
Each spring semester the 31 Ambassadors at the University of Louisiana at Monroe sponsor Survival Kits. The kits include fruit juice, chips, coupons from area businesses, cups, and more. Parents of students under the age of 21 are sent a brochure allowing them to purchase one. The kits cost $15. Students then pick up their Survival Kits at the Alumni Center during the week of finals, which is under way right now. The kits will be handed out until tomorrow at 4:30 p.m.
"I think the Survival Kits are a great pick-me-up during the stressful week of finals, and it lets the students know their parents are thinking about them and wish them the best of luck on their finals. It is a great treat during this hectic week," said Neena Cloessner, 31 Ambassador and Survival Kits Chairperson.
