Sign up now for Clinical Reasoning Seminar at ULM
The program, "Moving Beyond Nursing Process-Innovations in Clinical Reasoning" will be held at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. It will be on Feb. 4, 2002, beginning at 9:00 a.m. and ending at 3:00 p.m. on the 7th floor of the Library Conference Center. The cost is $30.00, including a buffet lunch. Registration forms must be turned in by January 28, 2002. Registrations will not be accepted after this date. Walk-ins will not be accepted.
Registered Nurses, nurse educators, nurse managers and any persons in staff development with the desire to enhance critical reasoning are encouraged to attend.
The presenter of the program will be Dr. Daniel J. Pesut. Pesut has over 29 years experience in nursing practice, education, administration and research. He served as a staff nurse in the U.S. Army and worked as a Clinical Nurse specialist at the U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research.
Dr. Pesut's research interests are in the area of volitional psychosomatic self-regulation, clinical reasoning and leadership development. He is especially interested in the role and influence future studies play in leadership development. Dr. Pesut is a certified specialist in Adult Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing. He is also the president-elect of Sigma Theta Tau, International Nursing Honor Society.
Five contact credit hours will be given for successful completion of this activity. The University of Louisiana at Monroe has been approved as a provider of continuing education in nursing by the Louisiana State Nurses Association for the period October 1, 2001-October 31, 2003. LSNA is accredited as an approver of continuing education in nursing by the American Nurses Credentially Center's Commission on Accreditation.
