ULM Professor to tech in Hong Kong
Assistant Professor of Economics and Finance at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, Melissa Melancon, is on her way to Hong Kong to teach a course on Financial Management. Melancon is one of the many faculty that travels each summer and winter to Hong Kong to teach college courses. In the summer there are four professors who go teach and in the winter one goes.
This program, coordinated with Hong Kong's Shueyen College, has been in existence at ULM since the 1970's.
The name of the course Melancon will teach is "Financial Management-A Focused Approach". Melancon says she already knows all of her students and they are very eager to learn. Melancon has already given her first two quizzes on-line. She leaves Monroe Saturday, Dec. 7, 2002, for her trip. She will be gone for five weeks.
