The University of Louisiana at Monroe is gearing up for this year's Spring Fever Week. Spring Fever 2002, sponsored by the ULM Campus Activities Board (CAB), is the largest gathering of activities and social events for ULM students all year. The event lasts for 5 days and is packed full of activities for students to enjoy all day and at night. Here is a look at the offerings that will be Spring Fever 2002. Most events are free to all ULM students. Please note that all of the events are for ULM student's only-except for the concert on Tuesday and the step show on Friday, where members of the community are encouraged to attend.
On Monday, April 8, the first day of Spring Fever kicks off with T-shirt sales at 8:00 a.m. (4 shirts are the maximum one person can buy at one time). at 9:30 a.m. and lasting until 2:00, students will be able to
make wax hands, get a caricature of themselves, make their own
karaoke CD, and eat food (including pizza) all for free. Then
at 8:00 p.m. CAB presents the nationally known band, Blessid
Union of Souls, in Fant-Ewing Coliseum. The tickets are $5 for
students (a two ticket maximum at this price) and $15 for general
admission. Everyone is invited to this concert. Shack Daddies

Carnival beginning at 10:00 a.m. and lasting until 2:00 p.m.
Proceeds from this carnival go to The Salvation Army. There are
about 18 student organizations involved. Students can expect
bumper cars, a carnival atmosphere, and once again free food.
The Wednesday night activity is the showing of the recent movie,
Ali, as a drive-in movie. The movie will begin once it gets dark
and will be in The Grove. This is free to students. Pizza and
cokes will be served.

sales- with a maximum purchase of 4 at a time. At 10:30 a.m.
until 12:30 p.m., the Center for Academic and Student Success
(CASS) will hold Pet Day. This is a time where students who miss
their own pets can come and play with others. Thursday Night

stand-up comedians from around the country will perform in the
nursing auditorium beginning at 8:00 p.m. This event is also
free for students.
