ULM'S Chautaqua Nexus hosts 2nd forum on terrorism

This week the University of Louisiana at Monroe's Chautauqua Nexus will host their 2nd public forum on terrorism. There will be four panelists to lead discussion on separate topics. The panelists and their topics are: Dr. James Mckeithen (ULM Foreign Language Professor) the Middle East and Afghanistan (from a cultural/historical perspective); Dr. John Scott (ULM Economics Professor) the economics of terrorism; Dr. J.J. St. Marie (ULM History Professor and expert on the Middle East) "The Gulf War and Desert Storm"; and Mr. Morris Mintz (Monroe Businessman) Israeli-U.S. Relations.

The panelists will make opening statements of about 15 to 20 minutes, and then there will be time for questions from the audience. This week's Chautauqua meets on the second floor of the Student Union Building Friday, Nov. 16, 2001 at 4:30 p.m.

These weekly meetings are informal conversations attempting to connect people of all ages who are interested in intellectual and cultural exchanges. The Chautauqua group meets every week on the second floor of the Student Union Building on the ULM campus (unless otherwise noted) beginning at 4:30 on Fridays or Saturdays. There are no requirements and everyone is invited to come. Drinks and snacks will be provided. Visitors are welcome to make a small donation for food.
