ULM honors Zander
Faculty and staff at the University of Louisiana at Monroe honored Dr. Arlen Zander on Monday for his service to the University. Zander recently stepped down as Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs to return to a teaching position at ULM.
As Provost, Zander spearheaded the development of the acclaimed Honors Program, guided Academic Affairs to a 98.2 accrediation rate of ULM's programs, led the development of four new doctoral programs and provided leadership for the highly successful SACS reaccreditation visit in 1999.
In his role as Provost, Zander also provided leadership for 34 academic departments, 139 degree programs and over 400 faculty.
