Monroe Garden Club opens book room at ULM
The University of Louisiana at Monroe and the Monroe Garden Study League, a member of the Garden Club of America announced the opening of a Book Room for public use at the University Library on the ULM campus, Tuesday morning.
The room is for reference materials for horticulture, landscaping, gardening and flower arranging. It is open to the public for reference use during the hours of library operation. Materials located in the Book Room are among the most extensive collection in this area on these topics and will include video and printed materials.
"The Monroe Garden Study League is pleased to open to the public this new resource for horticulture, gardening, landscaping and flower arranging," said Stephanie Abell, Committee Chair of the Monroe Garden Study League. "This partnership with the University has grown out of the University's recognition of the importance of agriculture and horticulture to this region and the club's interest in furthering the knowledge in these topics."
Use of the Book Room is now available to the public and a key to the room, which is located on the fifth floor of University Library, can be obtained at the circulation desk.
