Small and emerging business owners seminar offered
The University of Louisiana at Monroe's Small Business Development Center will present "Help Businesses Help Themselves," a free seminar designed for small and emerging business owners. The class will be Monday, Jan. 24 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Holidome Canal Room on U.S. Highway 165 in Monroe.
Representatives from the Division of Small and Emerging Business Development, formerly the Office of Disadvantaged Businesses, will be at this seminar to explain the ways businesses can improve their bonding capacity and other means of securing assistance. Representatives will explain the program and its benefits, answer questions and assist students with their application for certification.
The seminar is jointly presented by the Louisiana Department of Economic Development, the Division of Small and Emerging Business Development and The Louisiana Small and Emerging Business Advisory Council.
