ULM Professor Receives Louisiana Division of Arts Mini-Grant
Cliff Tresner, Assistant Professor in the Department of Art at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, has received a Mini-Grant from the Louisiana Division of the Arts.
Tresner was selected from a field of 121 applicants with grants being awarded to 35 artists. The Louisiana Division of the Arts is a re-granting agency for the National Endowment of the Arts. The non-profit state organization makes funds available to arts of all disciplines including dance, theater, music and literature. Tresner, a visual artist, will use the grant to further his research in sculptural media.
A graduate of Indiana State University with a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Mississippi, Tresner came to ULM two years ago. He currently teaches drawing, design and sculpture and is involved in numerous campus activities including the advancement of technology access to ULM students.
