The University of Louisiana Monroe College of Business and Social Sciences will hold two events on campus, Saturday, March 4.
The School of Construction Management Open House will be from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Construction Management Building, 513 Filhiol Ave. in Monroe. All prospective high school and transfer students are invited to attend. Students will meet with ULM alumni and potential employers, and they will learn more about scholarships and paid internship opportunities. They will also be able to tour the construction management facilities, as well as the entire ULM campus. Attendees will also receive a free lunch. The Sky Breakers Drone Workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hemphill Hall, 3810 Northeast Dr. in Monroe. All high school and middle school students are invited to learn more about drones from ULM’s own Unmanned Aircraft Systems Management professors. The workshop is free to the public. Students will learn about drone technology and its subsystems, get hands on experience flying drones, and enjoy free breakfast and lunch. Registration is required and students can register at www.ulm.edu/cbss/aviation/droneworkshop. There will also be a second Sky Breakers Drone Workshop on April 1 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The March 4 workshop is geared toward high school students and the April 1 workshop is geared toward middle school students, though any high school or middle school student is welcome to attend either date. |
