The University of Louisiana Monroe Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion announces the inaugural fellowship recipients for the Dr. Alex John, Dr. Sarah McCoy, and Alma Sewell Fellowships.
A reception will be held Thursday, April 14, from 3-4 p.m. on the library's sixth floor in the media room.
"These fellowships represent the core areas of the university and honor the pioneering individuals who made major contributions in these areas, thus helping to transform Northeast Junior College to Northeast Louisiana University to the University of Louisiana Monroe," said Pamela Saulsberry, Ph.D., the Executive Director of the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
Recipients have been notified and will assist in project development, conduct research, and create or refine policies that contribute to reducing the impediments to equity and inclusion at ULM and strengthen an environment of belonging for every person on campus.
These fellowships are for one academic year and provide a stipend.
