The Mask Up – A Wearable Masterpiece Auction is now live with 13 masks available for bid. Another 37 will be added during the seven-day event, which runs from Friday, May 8 through Friday, May 15.

“Kappa Pi is auctioning handpainted facemasks that have been transformed into wearable works of art,” said Brooke Foy, assistant professor of art in the School of Visual and Performing Arts, College of Arts, Education, and Sciences. “Twenty-five art majors at ULM have created these unique masks.”

The bidding starts at $10 per mask. At the end of the auction, the masks will be shipped to the highest bidder. All funds go the society, which assists art students to offset the costs of activities, shows, and supplies related to their art studies.

The Delta Alpha Chapter of Kappa Phi at ULM focuses on student leadership, outreach to the community through art, and supporting their peers majoring in art
