The COVID-19 health emergency may lead to stress, anxiety and depression. It is important
to take care of yourself if you are experiencing mental or emotional issues at this
time.
The ULM Counseling Center offers free counseling services available to all students.
Marriage and Family Therapy and Counseling faculty have also offered their services
for students seeking counseling. Please reach out to the following faculty to set
up an appointment.

Gov. Edwards calls for closure of bars, casinos, theaters; no inside dining at restaurants
Additionally, Gov. John Bel Edwards has announced more aggressive measures to contain
COVID-19. The Governor’s Office states as of midnight today, Monday, March 16, 2020,
“ … further limiting the size of gatherings to fewer than 50 people, closing casinos,
bars and movie theaters and limiting restaurants to delivery, take out and drive-through
orders only.”
These mandates will be in effect until April 13, however that date may change based
on the COVID-19 situation.
As of Monday, March 16, there were 132 confirmed cases in Louisiana and two deaths.
