MONROE, La. – The University of Louisiana Monroe’s football team will face the University
of Louisiana at Lafayette in the Military Appreciation Day game this Saturday, Dec.
3 at 2 p.m. at JPS Field at Malone Stadium.
The face-off marks the last game of the season, and fans in attendance will be treated
to two exciting events.
Warming up at the Grove tailgating area prior to the game, fans can take part in the
32nd annual Chili Cook-off event hosted by ULM’s 31 Ambassadors. The event is open to
the public, who will have a chance to taste chili cooked from scratch by ULM students,
faculty and staff, as well as the local community.
Prizes are awarded for cooking and showmanship. Each person who purchases a $1 cup
to taste chili gets a vote for the People’s Choice Chili Award.

In celebration of the 27th National title recently won in El Centro, Calif., the ULM Water Ski team is hosting
a ski show on Bayou DeSiard at 11 a.m. Visitors will be able to enjoy the show from
the bleachers in Heritage Park, next to the Anna Gray Noe Alumni Center on Bon Aire
Drive.
Tickets for the Military Appreciation Day game, which will also be Senior Day for
the Warhawks, are on sale now and can be purchased online at ulmwarhawks.com or by
