The “Policy and a Pint” series is designed to provide access to experts on community issues in a casual setting. The public is encouraged to participate with questions and comments during the event.
KEDM News Director Bob Lenox will moderate a panel of experts including Cooley House Foundation President Cookie Cookston, businesswoman and developer Melody Olson, and City of Monroe Planning and Zoning Director Joanne Poret.
The panelists will provide insight on historic sites and preservation efforts in local communities.
“Policy and a Pint ‘digs in’ to important issues in northeast Louisiana,” says KEDM General Manager Jay Curtis. “Preserving historic buildings deepens the roots of our collective cultural history, and this event offers a chance for deeper discussion.”
KEDM Public Radio — a public radio service of the University of Louisiana at Monroe — is a community partner dedicated to improving the quality of life in the listening area.
