“We are excited to have the opportunity to bring such a relevant and timely professional development opportunity to the educators in Ouachita Parish and the surrounding areas. It provides an opportunity to support our partners and stakeholders as well as make an investment in the children across the states,” said Tiffany Jackson, project director and coordinator of the ULM TEACH Project.

Harris, a Corwin consultant, will teach participants to use the coaching cycle and partnership approach to encourage school-wide reform and improve school culture.

Seroyer, master teacher and internationally known speaker, will present from 8 a.m. to noon, on Monday, Aug. 3, in Stubbs Hall, Room 100. Admission for this session only is $30.

Seroyer will share practical insights and strategies to help teachers prepare a classroom management plan that will create a culture of high expectations and increase student engagement and achievement.

“Research on effective professional development shows that adult learners prefer learning experiences that are relevant to their current work and can be implemented immediately. We have designed the workshops for this conference to do just that,” Jackson said.
