The University of Louisiana at Monroe’s online programs have earned a multitude of
top rankings from various collegiate and business entities looking to steer adult
learners to alternative forms of education.
The newest program to be recognized is ULM’s online bachelor’s of business administration
degree in marketing.
Ranked at number 25 in the nation by BestColleges.com, the ULM online marketing program
offers coursework and professional experiences for students seeking careers in advertising,
brand management, industrial marketing, consumer relations, market research, professional
selling, purchasing, and retailing.
Dr. Ron Berry, dean of the College of Business and Social Sciences said, “We are extremely
happy to be ranked in the top 25 online marketing programs in the country. Our faculty
have worked diligently to develop and deliver a high quality program, and it is rewarding
to see their efforts recognized. We are fortunate to have such a dedicated and talented
group of faculty.”
Dallas Baptist University, New Mexico State University, the University of Memphis,
and more joined ULM on the list.
“I want to congratulate the faculty and staff in our College of Business and Social
Sciences who are involved with the online marketing program,” said Dr. Eric Pani,
vice president for academic affairs. “Their dedication to academic standards and their
commitment to helping our students succeed produces results like this.”
According to their website, BestColleges.com’s rankings are compiled using the latest
information from the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) and College
Navigator databases, both of which are reputable sources maintained by the National
Center for Education Statistics.
Each ranking was calculated using various metrics, including: acceptance rate; retention
rate; graduation rate; and enrollment rate. Schools that excel in all four areas rank
the highest in their respective categories.
“Dean Berry and eULM Director Paula Thornhill also deserve recognition for the leadership
they provide,” Pani continued. “ULM’s strategic vision is to be recognized among the
best universities in the south, and I am pleased to see that we are succeeding with
that vision.”
