KEDM will also live stream the event on their website at kedm.org
The event features all three major candidates in the 2014 U.S. Senate race in a televised debate.
Incumbent U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu; 6th District Congressman Bill Cassidy; and retired Col. Rob Maness have all accepted invitations to take part in CABL/LPB debate, which will air live on LPB stations around the state.
Candidates were invited if they have polled at least five percent in a recognized nonpartisan or news media poll released prior to the debate; or if they have raised and spent at least $250,000 in campaign contributions, have established a campaign committee, and have filed campaign finance reports with the Federal Election Commission prior to the debate.
"KEDM believes that informed voters make better decisions," says KEDM General Manager Jay Curtis. "We're pleased to offer this debate for our listeners to have the information they need to make a decision about Louisiana's next Senator."
KEDM will also carry a second debate produced by public radio station WRKF in Baton Rouge on October 29. Details to come.
