The University of Louisiana at Monroe Dance Department presents its annual spring
Dance Fusion Concert, at 7:30 p.m., Friday, May 2, in ULM’s Brown Auditorium.
The concert is free for ULM students, faculty, and staff with a current ULM ID, and
general admission is $5.
Admission is free for children under 12.
The ULM Dance Department will present a new collaborative work by Associate Professor
of music, Dr. Mel Mobley, and Assistant Professor of Dance, Tina Mullone, titled “Babel.”
This work explores the communication of prehistoric mankind prior to words. Live percussion
will accompany the work.
The concert will also feature new work by student choreographers, guest artist Courtney
Mulcahy, and Director of the Dance Department, Associate Professor Robin Stephens.
This year’s concert will feature Latin, contemporary modern dance, musical theater,
and hip-hop styles.
