ULM’s online graduate business degree (MBA) and online graduate education degree (M.Ed.)
were ranked number 87 and number 103, respectively.
Both programs have been ranked as some of the nation’s best in previous years and
the newest rankings are evidence of the continued growth within the programs.
ULM President Dr. Nick J. Bruno, believes that university faculty continue to raise
the bar and these national rankings are the results of their work.
“I am very happy that ULM's faculty and departments are being recognized for their
outstanding work and expertise,” said Bruno. “The quality of our programs and faculty
provide our students with the knowledge necessary to prepare them for success in their
careers.”
ULM’s online MBA was ranked at number 87 in the nation. No other institution in the
state was ranked.
“For our online MBA program to be ranked for the second year in a row by U.S. News
& World Report is a testament to our outstanding faculty who developed and deliver
the program,” said Dr. Ron Berry, dean of the College of Business and Social Sciences.
ULM’s online M.Ed. was ranked at number 103. No other institution in the state was ranked higher than ULM on this list.
Dean of the College of Arts, Education and Science, Dr. Sandi Lemoine, said, “We attribute
the strength of our programs to the strength of the ULM faculty who have designed
and continue to teach these courses. Designing an online course that effectively facilitates
student learning requires the instructor to possess a depth of content knowledge paired
with creative teaching skills that call multiple online strategies into play. The
courses that compose our programs allow educational professionals to access avenues
of professional improvement that might otherwise be inaccessible.”
According to U.S. News & World Report, 238 online graduate education programs, and
239 online graduate business programs were scored within various categories which
included student engagement, student services and technology, admissions selectivity,
faculty credentials, and peer reputation.
National rankings are common for the business and education online programs at ULM.
Both have received numerous accolades in recent years.

Colleges Online.
