Sara Beth Howard of Lake Providence, Ben Bennett of Oak Grove, and Danielle Gurgiolo of Monroe were selected for the 2014 exhibition.
Howard, an art education major, entered her print titled “Register Now.”
Gurgiolo, a senior art major with a photography concentration, submitted a silkscreen titled “The Blue One.”
Bennett, also an art major, entered “Speak Easy, Memory.” Bennett’s concentration is in sculpture.
Howard remarked, “It’s a particular joy to share this honor with two artists, Danielle Gurgiolo and Ben Bennett, who[m] I also call friends!”
The exhibition is hosted by Arkansas State University’s Bradbury Gallery.
According to their web site, the DNSPE was founded in 1996 by Arkansas State University professor of art, Evan Lindquist.
Each year, a nationally known expert in the field of printmaking is invited to select works of art for the yearly show.
The juror also determines which prints will receive awards, including purchase prizes, which then become part of the ASU Permanent Collection of Art.
