ULM recently purchased CrowdStrike, an endpoint protection software application, via a wide scale security effort of the State of Louisiana’s ESF-17 Cyber Task Force. CrowdStrike is very effective in protecting your system from malware, viruses, ransomware and many other types of malicious attacks. We have deployed this application to most of the campus systems, excluding laptops.
Since laptops are not always powered on, we need your help in installing CrowdStrike on your laptop. Please follow the instructions below to install CrowdStrike on your laptop as soon as possible.
Installation Instructions
NOTE: ULM requires this software application to be installed on all university owned devices. It is extremely effective at preventing ransomware attacks.
If you have any questions or issues with the installation, please send an email to oit@ulm.edu and let us know. Someone from our office will immediately contact you and provide assistance.
Thank you.
