As part of the agreement ULM signed with the U.S. Department of Education, ULM pledged to use no less than 50 percent of the funds received under CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) and (a)(4) programs to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students.
A total of $11,916,539.00 ( $2,888,882.00 HEERF II and $9,027,657 HEERF III) has been designated for distribution to students in the form of Emergency Financial Aid Grants under CRRSAA and ARP (a)(1) and (a)(4) programs.
On February 9th, 2022,ULM awarded additional American Rescue Plan Act aid in the amount of $3,530,650.00 to 6466 students bringing the total disbursed to current ULM students to $8,975,150.00 for the fall 2021 and spring 2022 terms. $60,082.00 of the fall disbursement completed the awarding of the $2,888,882.00 awarded as HEERF II. $8,915,068.00 of the $9,027,657 HEERF III funds awarded to ULM have also been disbursed. Because funds were limited, aid was distributed to eligible students with the greatest financial need based on current financial aid information.
ULM currently has $112,589.00 unexpended in HEERF II funds. These funds are expected to be disbursed during the Fall 2022 semester.
No funds were disbursed for the July 1, 2022- September 30, 2022, quarter.
